Allison Harmon concentration

I found Allison 'harmon and she had some really cool sculptures made out of clay that had spikes on them that gave them a kind of contrasting feel to the vessel itself which grabbed my attention. her pieces changed later on and became much more mellow and most of them looked like they were melting candles.

Hart M. Owen concentration

the next artist i stubled on was Hart M. Owen. they made some really cool pottery that has an odd twist to it. i liked it a lot. This was their concentration:
"For my concentration I explored how I could incorporate non-ceramic objects into ceramic vessels. My concentration focuses on the relationship between the incorporated object and the ceramic vessel and how each complements and contrasts one another in terms of form, surface, and movement."

nicholas pennington Concentration

ok the first one that i thought was cool was by nicholas pennington and he carved sculptures out of blocks of plaster. they were pretty sweet! this is what he said his concentration was:
"My concentration focuses on abstract representations of landscapes and natural elements in carved plaster."

cool art

ok so on friday i was looking through the site and found some really really sweet stuff!!
the first artist that i thought was cool was Allison Harman, and she made a lot of earthenware pottery. they all had a melted look to them and were colored kind of dark and earthy. she used really cool glazes that cracked and flaked and looked really old. the unique thing about her pottery was that they were all covered in spikes! it looked really cool, some had spikes running up the sides and some were wound around the outside or even on the inside as i saw in one.
